Highly Recommend! I go to Vivi for my hair – she is great! The salon has a very nice, friendly atmosphere, Stelios (the owner) is a GREAT person! Very friendly and also makes you feel welcomed!
This salon is the find of all finds! I discovered it bec of the Somelier @ my fave diner. Her color & cut made her look like a million bucks everytime I saw her. She was admiring mine too. I decided to try out her salon just for the heck of it. Wow is all I can say.
The owner, Stelios, is a NYC stylist with the Jersey price tag. I mean, don’t get me wrong, it’s not cheap but the service, artistry, professionalism and value you get for it is way, way than more justified. I try to save a little by blow drying my own hair. Having a stylist who knows what they’re doing without me having to give minute instructions or no instructions at all is a joy beyond words. Plus, Stelios’ very pleasant & entertaining ‘chair side’ manners is a gift. You know the place is good when your cut & color is admired everywhere you go in NJ AND in the Upper West Side. Need I say more?
Lenore did my hair for my wedding. Athena did my makeup. I lack the words to express my level of happiness with a) their service, b) their skills and c) the final “product.” Courteous. Professional. Amazingly talented. Super nice. Totally laid back (which for someone on their wedding day is super important.) On time. On point. Fabulous, fantastical, amazing, beyond terrific- worth every nickle and dime. To every bride in the tri-state area: Do yourself a favor and book these two. The hair and make-up will make you look like a celebrity (cliche, I know but so true) and it will last through sweat, tears, cake in your face and even the wedding night Lenore and Athena- thank you so much for making my day.
I have been going to Recreations since 2002. I’ve only had 3 women cut my hair since 2002 @ Recreations, they have little turn over which speaks volumes. The coloring is fantastic and I always walk away loving my hair. It’s a bit pricey, but worth every penny.
Ive been to many expensive and renowned salons. The price is the same, but the service and results from ReCreations are well above the rest. I’ve never gotten so many complements on my hair. Every time I get a cut and highlight I get compliments from friends and family. I let them do what they want and always come away with a very modern updated look that fits into my executive world as well as my soccer mom life.
